Merry Christmas!

I was fortunate enough this year to have lots of visits and trips for Christmas! Despite the terrible winter weather, Ryan and I were able to visit all of our family and spend a fantastic time with all of them!

First, we celebrated Ryan's mom's birthday (which is on Christmas Eve) on the 23rd in Eldora at Ryan's grandparents' house. Then, we celebrated Christmas there on the 24th. We had a great time and also had the pleasure of seeing Ryan's Great-Aunt Jean who came to Iowa from Texas to celebrate Christmas. I bet she wished she was still in Texas with the weather we had!! We were happy to see her! :)

The night of Christmas Eve, we made the trip down to Bloomfield where we opened gifts at mom's, then we made the trek to Drakesville! We had so much fun! Ryan and I got a couple of games for Christmas that we played with family (we highly recommend Apples to Apples). Colton also got me the game Battle of the Sexes-- which proved that the girls dominate! ;)

The whole Proctor clan!

The next day we headed to Kirksville to visit Dad, where we played board games, watched movies, and caught up! It was a great wrap-up to all of our holiday festivities!

Then, we headed back the five hours to Omaha, making a stop along the way to visit Ryan's dad in Albia. Phew! Christmas is busy for us, but it was all worth it!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!!

THE END (of the semester)

FINALLY! After three all-nighters, tons of projects, and countless numbers of pages written... I am done with the semester! I got through my capstone class and the faculty presentation for my sociology major-- the most stressful occurrence of the entire semester-- but I did it! It feels good to only have one semester left, even though I have no idea what I am going to do for a job afterwards!

Our final project for my video production class was an admissions video for Drake. Here is what my production team came up with:

Now, let the Christmas season begin!

Today was round two of wedding dress shopping in Des Moines. I am proud to say that I found my dress!

It is supposed to be in between the end of January and the end of February-- I am so excited!!!! I have big plans to do a lot of wedding planning over my winter break after my life, aka: school, settles down a bit!

Pound for Pound

This is the culmination of all of my class' hard work in our video production class. We produced, shot, edited, and wrote a 30-minute television pilot featuring central Iowa wrestling.

I was on the production team for Ankeny High School. Below is a link to the show that you can watch in four parts:
