Drake Friends Visit!

This weekend a few of my Drake friends were in town and we met up for lunch! I hadn't seen them in so long, and it was really nice to catch up!!!

We got to talk and eat Italian before we all had to go our separate ways again. We need to get together a lot more often!!

Right now, I'm just taking a break from the mounds of papers and homework I have been working on today. Just two weeks left of school, and then finals!! Wow, I always wish for the semester to end, but now I need a few more weeks to get everything done! After classes are done for the summer, I'll be searching for a job and cracking down on wedding planning!

Busy Life

So, it has been almost an entire month since I last posted! Phew!  Well, things have been super busy for me around here!  I won't bore you with details, but homework and papers have been keeping me pretty occupied!

I did want to update everyone about the wedding.  We have a date set (finally) and the wedding and reception venues booked!  Our date is July 3, 2010 and the wedding will be at Wesley United Methodist Church in Ottumwa, IA.  Our reception will be immediately following at Hotel Ottumwa.  I have been periodically updating our wedding website as I get more details set in stone, but there is still a lot to do.  Here are a couple of photos of the church:

When I took these pictures, the ballroom was set up for a more casual meeting, so keep in mind that with wedding decorations and a lot of color, this room will look amazing for our reception!

I am also looking for some help choosing colors now that I have the ceremony and venue locations!  I was initially thinking various shades of purples and silvers, but now I am opening up to different ideas.  Please leave comments on this post of color ideas you like/have seen.

I have only three more weeks of school before I am officially a senior in college, and Ryan is graduating from law school on May 15th!!  Time flies!  I am definitely ready!  I am now in the process of looking for a job for the summer.
