The end of break...

Well, spring break is almost over.  It went by too fast!  We all got back from Kansas tonight after a weekend of trying to get things going with the wind energy business.  Things are still in progress, so hopefully everything works out!

Ryan and I are still working on ceremony/reception locations for the wedding.  Currently, we are checking into Hotel Ottumwa and Bridgeview Center.  Hopefully we'll get to look at those this weekend.  Colton's musical is also this weekend, so we're excited to see that!  We're headed to Bloomfield on Friday.

I did a lot of decorating in our apartment this week, and it looks pretty good!  We have also been working on Sulley's training, and he is finally catching on, I think!  His pizza flavored dog treats are a big motivator! haha...

That is about all I have.  Hopefully I will have a wedding update within a couple of weeks!

Spring Break!

I am officially on spring break! I couldn't be more excited! I plan on scrapbooking our Cabo trip during break, and getting that done! Hopefully I can make it to Bloomfield and Kirksville at some point next week, too. Ryan and I are looking at a couple of ceremony/reception locations around Des Moines, so hopefully those will go well. I'm ready to have a place! Ideas are more than welcome, too. Just leave a comment on this post! =)

Yesterday at The Hawk we had an up-and-coming Nashville singer, Julia Burton, come in and perform for us. Just thought that I would share a picture.

That's about all from me this time!

Procrastinating

Kaitlin and I got to have lunch with one of my best high school friends this weekend!  Lanie, Kait, and me all met up in Ankeny for lunch and a little shopping.  It was so good to catch up!  Lanie and I always try to get together at least once a month to keep in touch, but it sometimes gets away from us since we're both busy college kids (not to mention she has a two year old daughter that keeps her busy)!

We got to visit with mom and Mark for a couple of hours this weekend, too.  I always like getting visitors!  We had pizza and went over a few little wedding ideas.

Now, I am making up for the fact that I got no homework done over the weekend.... just taking a little break from a paper to update my blog.  Sulley is taking a nap on my big pink cushy chair, and Kaitlin is in bed.  I have to admit, I'm a little jealous of both of them!  I just have to keep in mind that I only have three more days of class, and then it's spring break!  Halfway done with the semester!  Woo hoo!

Oh, Grandma Kay sent me a really neat picture of mom, Aunt Vonda, and Uncle Greg.  I just have to share it...

Isn't that cute!?  Anyway, I really need to go visit family over spring break.  I haven't visited dad in quite some time, so I definitely need to make the trek to Kirksville.  I'll probably go to Bloomfield for a couple of days, too!

Well, I best get back to the grind.  I have a lot to do in the next couple of days!  Post again soon! =)

Spring Fever

First of all... the weather here today was AMAZING!  69 degrees, sunny, and wonderful!  Too bad it won't stay that way.  In my opinion, spring needs to quit psyching us out... make the warm weather stay!  No more snow!

It has been a busy few weeks for me!  Wedding planning is still a little stressful.  We haven't found a place for the wedding and reception yet.  We have done a lot of looking, and have a lot of options, we just haven't narrowed anything down yet!  I really want to get a date and place set so we can get the planning to the next step, but we still have plenty of time.  I've been stressing myself out too much! =)

Yesterday Ryan's aunt and uncle came to Pleasant Hill, so we got to visit with them.  It had been a while!  They had quite the political debate which I tried to stay out of... but it was great to see them!

Spring break is ONE WEEK away!  We're not doing anything special for break.  Probably just catch up on some homework and resting.  I might make a trip to Bloomfield and Kirksville if I get a chance.  We are going to Kansas to meet with Ryan's potential investors and possibly to look for a place for him to live on that weekend.  Hopefully all of that goes well and then Ryan will know what he is doing with his life! This semester has flown by for both of us... it's midterm already!  Ryan graduates from law school in two months... and I'll be a senior!  Crazy, huh?

Sulley is doing well.  He likes to play and eat... a lot!!  He is still struggling with potty training, but we're taking baby steps and getting a little better everyday!  (Don't you like how I talk about him like he's my child?) haha...

I was looking at Kaitlin's facebook page and saw this cute picture.  She went to the park and "played" on one of her breaks from classes.  I hope she doesn't mind if I post!  I have to keep you all updated on her since she doesn't have a blog! =)

That's about all I know for this round.  Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather out there today!
