Christmas 2008!

Well, I have had several Christmas celebrations over the past week or so!  On Sunday, Ryan and I celebrated with his mom, step-dad, sister, and her boyfriend.  Then, I headed to Bloomfield on Monday.  We opened some presents with mom on Christmas Eve, and then headed to Grandpa Max and Grandma Kay's house for the Proctor Christmas.  We had a lot of fun playing Cranium and eating too much food!

On the 26th, we all headed to Dad's in Kirksville to visit.  He took us shopping and we watched movies and played Cranium.  We stayed a couple of nights and spent some time with him.  We had a lot of fun.

Sulley and I are headed back to Des Moines this evening.  I have some last minute Cabo shopping to do before we leave for our trip next Thursday.  I'm having dinner with my friend Nicole that is back in the U.S. from the air force tomorrow, so that should be fun!  I also got a phone call from another friend Ashley, who let me know that she was engaged and asked me to be in her wedding next year.  Lots of exciting happenings around this time of year!  I'll be back soon!

Snow, Ice, and Christmas Cookies...

Well, after I got off of work today, I headed back to my apartment and made it just in time.  A little bit after I arrived, the rain and snow started.  I'm kind of trapped in my apartment alone (Kaitlin went to Bloomfield earlier this week and Ryan didn't want to brave the roads) so I thought that tonight would be a good one to update my blog.  The roads, from what I hear, are not good-- icy and slick.

Last weekend, mom and Grandma Kay came to Des Moines and we spent the day shopping.  We also ate dinner at the Machine Shed, which is one of my favorite restaurants around here.

Yesterday, Ryan and I did some of our shopping.  I hadn't even started Christmas shopping yet, but I got most of it done yesterday.  I just have a couple more things to get before Thursday.  After we got our fill of shopping, we came back to my apartment and made some sugar cookies.  I will just share a couple of pictures.  I bet you can't guess which ones Ryan decorated! ;)

I also thought I would share a couple pictures of Sulley.  He has a new favorite napping place.

And, I bought him a Christmas sweater, but he doesn't like it very much!

Tomorrow is my last day at iptv.  It's been a good experience and I've learned a lot.  I am looking forward to my radio internship next semester.  I start at "The Hawk" right after Ryan and I get back from Cabo!  I am really excited for Christmas and the trip to Cabo!  Can't wait!

I'll post again soon!  Be safe in this weather, everyone!

Clumsy Girl in a Big Boot

Well, the story is that I had been having tightness and soreness in my right foot for about a month and a half or so that I thought would just go away.  Then, one day it swelled up.  I called a podiatrist that next week because the swelling still hadn't gone all they way down.  They couldn't get me in for two weeks, so finally today I had my appointment.  They took x-rays and checked my foot out.  It was still swollen, but not quite as sore.  They think that it is a ligament/soft tissue problem.

Now, they put me in a boot for four weeks that will prevent my ankle from moving, and put me on a prescription that is supposed to stop the inflammation.  I am supposed to go back on January 6th to see if I can take the boot off in time for my trip to Cabo on the 8th.  Now, I am in this boot, in the freezing weather with my toes sticking out.  I am going to have to wear a big, thick fuzzy sock on my right foot to keep my toes warm.  I am also afraid to walk because it has been pretty slick out lately.  I can just see myself losing my footing in this thing and falling.  I am clumsy as it is without a big, bulky boot on my foot!

In other news, I am just taking a break from studying for a final that I have tomorrow.  I have had several presentations and papers to get done, and finals to study for.  Thankfully, I will be completely done next Tuesday.  Can't wait!

Sulley is doing well, we are still struggling with potty training, but I am sure that will come with time.

That's all for now, better get back to studying/writing papers!

Be back soon!

A cute picture...

I just thought I would share a picture of Sulley in the shirt I bought him!  Isn't he cute?  He's not spoiled at all.... :)

Happenings this past weekend...

I went home for Thanksgiving on Wednesday night.  We celebrated Mark's son Sean's 18th Birthday at a chinese restaurant in Ottumwa.

On Thursday we had Thanksgiving dinner at Grandpa Max and Grandma Kay's. Then, on Friday we had Ryan's family Thanksgiving. Two great meals with two great families!

After that, we headed to Kingman, Kansas for Ryan's meeting with investors interested in his wind energy business. I think it went really well, and we should find out within the next few weeks what will happen. I got the impression that they really liked his business plan and would really like that type of business in their community.

Two more exciting things happened this weekend. I got my new puppy, Sulley...

and a new cousin, Zackary!Zackary and Sulley are both cute, wonderful additions to the family.  I had a great weekend, but tomorrow it is back to school for two more weeks, then finals.  I am very ready for holiday break!  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

What's New Around Here...

Well, not too much new around here, but I thought that I would update my blog.

I have one more day of classes this week before Thanksgiving break begins! I am excited to go home. Ryan and I will be at my Thanksgiving on Thursday, his on Friday, and then Friday night we are headed to Kingman, KS to meet with some investors for the wind energy business Ryan is looking to start when he graduates in May.

I also get to pick Sulley up, finally! I have been so excited about getting him even before he was born!

Well, two more weeks of classes and then a week of finals, and I am done with the semester! I am so glad! I am ready for Christmas break... to go home and not have to worry about homework... and then head to Cabo in January. Ryan and I booked our excursions last week. We are going to go parasailing, snorkeling, and also go on a tree-top zip line tour. That takes you really high in the air, you are hooked up to a zip line by a harness and then they release you and you kind of soar through the air. It sounds really fun. I did something like that in Costa Rica a few years ago.

I have been meeting with my "little sister" Poya for the semester. She invited me to "breakfast buddies" at her school on Wednesday morning, so I'll be doing that and then heading home for Thanksgiving!

I will post again soon! Hope everyone is doing well!

Kaitlin's Graduation Video

After packing up all of my belongings to move back to Des Moines this summer, I let Kaitlin's graduation video slip my mind.  Well, last night, I pulled the tape out of my closet, edited, and put it on a DVD for her.  She is almost done with her first semester of college and I am just now getting her graduation DVD to her... oh well, better late than never.

I thought that I would share it with all of you.  Many of you make special appearances on camera! I had to compress the heck out of it to put it online, so the quality isn't that great.  It's much better on the DVD.

Disclaimer: If you aren't on camera or weren't interviewed, it was nothing personal... I lost track of who I had talked to, some left early or were camera shy, and I didn't want to stalk anybody!  If anyone wants a copy on DVD, let me know and I can burn you one. =)

Halloween Costumes

Thought I would share some pictures of me and Kaitlin's Halloween costumes...

Mice love cheese pizza.

Cute cowgirl.

Digital Tips?

Whew! I have been busy, busy!

At iptv tonight we did an hour and a half long live q & a call in show about the digital transition in February.  So, if you have questions... I probably have answers.  HA!

This video pretty much sums up most of the people that were calling tonight:

Between my internship, projects, and papers--- sometimes I wonder if I have any time to breathe! I'm enjoying it though, and I seem to be keeping up with things ok.  I have about a month and a half left of my internship at iptv, and then I start at "The Hawk" (the radio station) around January 20th, right after Ryan and I get back from Cabo.  I am really excited for this internship.  It will definitely be something different than what I'm doing now, and it sounds like I will get to do some pretty cool stuff!  I might help out with the Rascal Flatts concert in January.  That will be really fun.

I am getting more excited to pick Sulley up everyday!  Only a few more weeks till I have my puppy! :)

On another note, if any of you know my friend Shelley (or even if you don't) please keep her and her family in your thoughts.  Her mother is having some health issues, so please keep her in your thoughts (even if you don't know her).

Election Day

I hope everybody got out and voted today!

If you are well-informed and have good reasons for supporting the candidate you do--VOTE!  I'll be up watching the results until I know the outcome.  This is a historic election and a huge deal for America!

Puppies!

I told you all in my last post, but Megara had her baby yorkies! When I went home last weekend I got to see them, and I picked out the puppy I am going to keep for myself. I just thought I would share a few cute pictures!
Ryan with mommy, Meg!

My puppy, Sulley.

Taking a nap.

That's about it for now, I'll post again soon.

Pumpkins!

On Monday Kaitlin and I decided to get festive for Halloween and we carved some cool pumpkins.  Just thought I would share a couple of pictures:

Here are our pumpkins.  Kaitlin's is on the left, mine on the right.

This is Kait's evil pumpkin eating a baby pumpkin.  Isn't it cool?

This is my Jack Skellington pumpkin!

Me with my creation.

Kait carving away.

Well, that's it for the pumpkin pictures.  Kaitlin and I are headed to Bloomfield this weekend. We have an appointment in Iowa City on Friday for our wisdom teeth.  *ouch*  Were going home so mom can drive with us and to spend some time at home.  I'll post again soon!

Update-o-rama!

Well, I have quite a bit to update everybody on this time around.  This week is mid-term already!  It really feels like I just started the school year, but the semester has just flown by!  I have been very busy lately with papers, tests, and reading (as well as working for iptv).

I have been doing a weekly radio show for the campus radio station, 94.1 The Dog.  I'm on Tuesdays from 5-6 this semester, but you can only get the station if you live in the Des Moines area.  It has been going pretty well, and I am having fun with it.

Speaking of radio, I decided to internship hunt in that area.  I contacted a country radio station that I listen to often, got an interview, and right after the interview I was offered their internship position for spring 2009.  I was their first interviewee, but he was very impressed with me and offered it to me on the spot.  I accepted, and will start late January.

Some of you might remember that I had been searching for sociology-related internships.  I had two interviews a couple of weeks ago, but they just weren't what I was looking for.  So, I headed down the broadcast road once again.  It seems to be my calling.  Things just seem to work out with scholarship money, internships, and grades when it comes to broadcasting for me.  I'll keep the double-major in sociology going, but it's looking like the broadcast route is the one I'll be taking for my future career.  We shall see. :)

A lot of you already know this, but my family's Yorkie, Meg, had her puppies; three boys and a girl.  Now I am patiently waiting to pick Sulley up during Thanksgiving break and bring him to his new home! :)  He will most likely be one spoiled puppy!  I may have already been shopping at PetsMart and Sessions..... just maybe....

Well, anyway, school is going good.  I have fall break this coming Monday and Tuesday.  What do I plan on doing you may ask?  NOTHING!! Things have been so hectic for me lately, I plan on being lazy the whole time.  Looking forward to it!

Ryan and I celebrated our one year anniversary on the 13th.  The year has just flown by!  We also went to the Sleepy Hollow Scare Park in Pleasant Hill for Halloween.  They have a bunch of haunted houses, a hay ride, some mazes and stuff.  It's pretty cool.  I did get the living crap scared out of me by an evil, bloody, sharp-toothed clown.  That wasn't too fun.  He liked to follow me.

An added note, not really important, but worth mentioning.  I was having kind of a bad day last week, just stress building up and not feeling well.  Anyway, I told Ryan I just wanted to stay home and rest.  He showed up a little later at my apartment with these:
I thought it was a sweet gesture and a nice surprise.  Just thought I'd share since they're so pretty! :)

This post is getting long, so I understand if you need to read it in parts, and come back to finish later! HAHA!!

Ryan was featured in the Times-Delphic, Drake's Campus Newspaper.  You can read the article by clicking here.  It is a very nicely done article.

That's about it on my end of things for now.  Sometime, e-mail me and let me know what you all are up to! :)

Life Happenings and Updates

Iptv is going well.  I'm still just working Thursdays and Fridays, as well as a few weekends here and there.

Also, my family's yorkie, Megara, is expecting.  Her due date was today, but no word on puppies yet!  I am especially excited for this litter because I am (hopefully) keeping one for myself.  My apartment complex allows pets, and I think I'm up for the added responsibility of caring for another life!  (Just a dog, not a child... ha!)  I've already named him: Sulley.  Now, watch her not have any boys. :)

Kait and I went home this weekend to see the fam.  We had some fun and watched some old family videos.  Ryan especially enjoyed that ;).  Anyway, then Ryan had a Monroe county authors reception in Albia at the museum.  He got to talk about his book, and now he'll be in the history books!

That's about it on my end of things, I've been working out and have been successfully dieting for the past couple of weeks.  About six pounds down!  It's not much, but it is a start!

Check back in with me.  I'll be back sometime!  Something exciting is bound to happen. :)

Another Update!

I know it has been a while since my last post.  I have been busy with classes, homework, and my internship.  Nothing much new has happened for me since my last post.  I did start working as the web producer for drake digital news.  It's a job I can do at home when I have time.  I have enjoyed it so far.

Ryan and I have been having fun.  We try to play tennis every once in a while, and there is a nice trail by my apartment that we like to take walks on.  The weather has been very nice this past week, so we have been taking advantage of that.

Kaitlin seems to be liking things at DMACC (besides going to class.... HAHA!)  She has made lots of friends, and has been doing some neat artwork.  I think she has been enjoying herself.

We finally have the apartment pretty well put together.  It looks pretty nice for a college kid habitat if I do say so myself.  We really like the neighborhood and the apartment community.

I do want to update everybody that I do have a new email address (if I haven't already given it to you).  It is kelsi.roberts@gmail.com .

Thanks for stopping by.  I will post again soon!

Junior Year

Well, I am officially over half-way done with college!  It seems crazy to me how fast the time has gone!  My first week back has been okay.  I am a double major, so I am taking quite a few different classes.  I have three classes I am taking for my Radio/Television Production major and two Sociology classes.  I also have an elective class I am taking that I am really interested in.  My schedule isn't too bad since I got math, science, and history requirements out of the way during my first two years!

All of my classes are fairly interesting, and hopefully by enjoying them I will be able to do well in them.  One of the classes for my Radio/TV major is a radio broadcasting class.  Last semester I focused on the TV end of production, but this semester we are focusing on radio.  I will have a one-hour radio show on the campus station every week starting in the next couple of weeks.  I can basically talk about anything I want and play any kind of music I want.  I think it will be a fun class where I can really show my creativity.  I think it will be fun planning my own show and being on air every week.  I am looking forward to it.

My two sociology classes are actually really interesting so far.  I took a criminology class last year that I absolutely loved, and that made me want to add a second major in sociology.  I loved the class and the material fascinated me! This semester my classes are on race in society, and madness culture and power.  They should be interesting.

Anyway, I will just give you a quick update on my internship.  Things have really wound down since the fair ended.  Now, I am working on studio productions.  I have been helping with sets for shows, running camera, and working in a studio environment.  A couple of the shows I have been/will be working on are nationally syndicated, which is pretty cool.  It is neat to see how everything comes together to create a television show!

Well, that is all for now.  Be back soon! :)

Drum roll please.........

.... I finally have the time to post!!!  First on the agenda, is telling you all about my family's trip to the Wisconsin Dells!  We had a lot of fun.  We went to Noah's Ark (the world's biggest water park) where we rode a really cool water roller coaster (which was my absolute favorite ride!).  We also went on some really cool water slides there.  It was great!  We also went to a theme park called Mount Olympus.  It is a water park and theme park.  We went there two days, and had an excellent time!  We also went on the Original Wisconsin Ducks, which I am sure you've all heard of, but just in case, they are kind of like boats that can go on land and water.  They were really cool.  We also took a jet boat ride, and we got absolutely SOAKED! But it was worth it because it was so fun.  In addition to all of that, we went miniature golfing at Pirate's Cove and also stopped on our way home to see the House on the Rock.  The architecture there was amazing!  Below are a few pictures from our trip:

Next, Kaitlin and I moved to Urbandale, as most of you know.  We are preparing to start classes on the 25th.  My internship at IPTV has been going ok.  I have been working a ton of hours during the fair.  With the fair being over now, I will start only working on Thursdays and Fridays, with some Saturdays and Sundays sprinkled throughout.  The internship is for the whole fall semester, and I will be assisting with productions like Market to Market (which is a nationally syndicated show) and Iowa Journal.  I have been learning the ropes, and I will be operating camera and doing other tasks around the station.

My friend Shelley got married on 08/08/08 and it was a beautiful wedding! I am so happy for her!  She and her husband, Chris, have been great friends to Ryan and me.

I celebrated my 20th birthday on the 13th of this month.  Ryan's family had a little gathering and dinner for me, and then on Sunday, my mom, Kylie, and Colton brought me a cake.  I had a very nice birthday.

One more tidbit of information: Ryan asked me about a month ago if I would like to take a trip to the Caribbean.  After visiting a travel agent, doing a little research, and figuring out our budget, we decided on Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  It's not in the Caribbean (obviously) but we decided it was the best place for us.  We will be leaving on January 8th, and staying in Cabo for 7 nights at the Riu Palace.  I am very excited!!!

Anyway, that is all for now.  I will be back soon!

Busy, Busy!

The past few weeks have been incredibly busy.  Between moving and interning at IPTV, I haven't had much time to update my blog!  I have been working between 10 and 14 hour days at Iowa Public Television during the State Fair.  I just wanted to put a quick update on my blog.  When things start to wind down I will be back with pictures from my family's trip to the Wisconsin Dells (almost a month ago now), information on what I have been up to at IPTV, and other happenings!  Sorry I am so behind!

Work happenings & more

As my summer job comes to an end I just wanted to post the links to the websites I have been working on.  The bobwhite ranch one is just in its beginning stages, as I just started it two days ago.

I have also been doing Ryan's author website, to get some info out there on him.  His book has been selling really well (thanks in part to all of you who purchased his book.)  It has been on a galley run (I think that is how you spell it), which is a first "test run."  All of the mistakes that are in the book currently will be fixed in the next printing.  Some bookstores have now picked his book up, but you can still order it online from amazon, barnes and noble, borders, target, and etc.

His website is: ryancsimpson.com

This past weekend, Ryan and I went to visit some of his family.  We celebrated his uncle's birthday, went golfing, and other fun things.  Here is a picture of me with some of his family.

I will be back next week with Wisconsin Dells pictures and stories!

Kansas City

Ryan and I got back from Kansas City on Monday. We had a lot of fun! On Thursday we got to our hotel and delivered the last puppy my mom sold to a couple in Kansas City. On Friday we went to Worlds of Fun and had a blast. We rode all the roller-coasters and got soaked on the water rides. Our favorite ride was the one behind us in this picture.

On Saturday we went shopping. We went to the Plaza, Union Station, and Zona Rosa. There were some cool stores, but surprisingly, I didn't spend too much money. I had fun just looking.
Then, on Sunday, we went to a Kansas City Royals game. The stadium was just a bit of a walk from our hotel. We had a lot of fun, but I ended the day with a
painful sunburn. That just happened to be the one day I forgot to put my sunscreen on!
Following the game, we headed to one of my favorite restaurants ever, Rainforest Cafe.

Finally, on our last day we headed home and stopped in Liberty, MO and Kearney, MO to check out the Jesse James museums. We saw the first bank  robbed in broad daylight, his home, and farm.  I have many more pictures from our Kansas City trip that I will hopefully post on a photo website in the near future. Until then, I hope you enjoyed the few that I posted! On another note, we all decided where we are going on our family vacation. We are headed to the Wisconsin Dells next week. I am sure to have some great pictures and stories from that vacation!

Update to last post

I found out today that I did get the internship with Iowa Public Television for the fall.  I will start August 5, and be helping with Iowa State Fair coverage.  Everyone watch! ;)

What's New?

This past weekend I went to visit Ryan and we went to Adventureland. I hadn't been there in a while, we had fun. We went with his mom and stepdad and spent the day. Ryan and I also went to see Wall-e (mostly because I am a sucker for Disney movies... still!) It was very cute! I liked it.

Ryan and I have decided to take our trip to Kansas City. We are leaving a week from Thursday. We got tickets to a Royals game and to Worlds of Fun. We are staying at the Sheraton, so that should be nice. We are also planning on going shopping. There's some good shopping in KC, and I plan on doing some damage! We are going to stay from Thursday the 10th until Monday the 14th. I am looking forward to it! I should have some good pictures to post when I get back!

Also, Kaitlin and I finally got our apartment! We will be living in Urbandale, so both of us will have to commute, but not too far. We are moving in on August 1st, just a month away! The summer has absolutely flown by.

I am still waiting to hear back about my internship at IPTV. She said she would let me know soon, so I will update when I find out anything.

I am working on putting together a new picture website, and I will hopefully be able to get all my pictures up sometime in the next few weeks. I can only upload so many onto this website. I will have a link for you when it is up.

Also, the family got a Wii last week and we've been having fun with that! :)

It's been a while...

It has been a while since my last post, but unfortunately, nothing too exciting has been going on this summer. I am still working at Sessions, updating the website and working on marketing materials. I also do help with the animals when extra help is necessary. My mom is headed to Florida on Friday for a little while, for a vacation with her boss, co-workers, and their significant others. That should be fun. It will be quiet at work for about a week or so, with only two of us there and no appointments!

Ryan has had quite a few newspaper articles published about the new book he wrote. One of the articles ran in the Ottumwa Courier today. I don't have a link to it because I don't get the online edition, but if any of you do, you should read it. It is a nice article. He has been working on another book this summer, and I am going through it right now, helping him edit it. It should be good as well. He really likes to write, and he is good at it. He'll be a lawyer in less than a year, and be entering the "real world" but I hope he continues to write.

My mom, sisters, brother, aunt, and I will be taking a vacation next month. We are trying to decide where to go. We aren't straying too far from Iowa, but it should be a nice get-away. My mom wants to go to South Dakota and my vote is for the Wisconsin Dells, but I think wherever we go it will be fun. I am looking forward to that.

Later on this summer, Ryan and I are going to take a little trip as well, either to St. Louis or Kansas City. He wants to go and see a baseball game and see a comedian, and I want to hit the theme park and the zoo. That should also be a fun trip, and a good way to end the summer.

Summer has certainly flown by! Kaitlin and I will be moving back to Des Moines around August 1st. We are still on the hunt for an apartment, but we are getting closer! Anyway, I will be back when there is more to blog about. Until then, thanks for stopping by!

Shadows Rising

My boyfriend recently published his first novel, Shadows Rising. It is a crime fiction thriller. I've read it, and I think it is great! It is available from Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, Target, and Borders. Here are a couple of links if you would like to check it out or purchase it.

Update

I started working at Sessions Veterinary Clinic on Monday. That is the vet clinic my mom works at. I have been designing and working on ther website: www.sessionsveterinaryclinic.com. It's not done, and some things still need to be worked on, but I am enjoying it, and am happy with the way it is coming together.

Family might be interested in this: I got my grades for this past semester and got a 4.0! I am really happy, I worked really hard!

I am heading to Des Moines later today to spend the weekend with Ryan for his 23rd Birthday. We plan on doing some golfing if the weather permits, a movie, and maybe a concert. It should be a fun weekend.

This is a short update, but I'll be back again soon!

Half-way Done with College!

I am moving back to Bloomfield for the summer today. This school year has been stressful and busy, but I feel pretty accomplished.

I was asked to be the new web producer for DrakeDigitalNews.com. I will be choosing stories to put on it and keeping the website up-to-date and looking good. I don't start until the fall, but it is a paid position which will be nice.

I will probably have another post on Sunday or Monday since my sister Kaitlin is graduating. I'll make sure to post some pictures so everyone can see them!

A Taste of Brazil

Sorry about the audio on the interview.  I am in the process of fixing this.  This is the most recent news story I produced this semester.  It was filmed at The New Image Family Fitness Center in Des Moines.

Final weeks of sophomore year

I have applied for an internship with Iowa Public Television in Johnston for the fall semester, and was called for an interview.  The interview went well, and although I won't find out until July if I got it, I have a good feeling about it.

As the school year winds down, I am really ready for summer.  It has been a busy semester, but I have done well.  I have been not only taking classes for my major, but I have been working in my minor, sociology.  I am really enjoying taking sociology classes.

I am moving home for the summer to save money and working with my mom at the vet clinic.

Like I said, this year has been hectic and stressful, but all in all, I think it has gone well.

:)

Diversity in Schools

This was another news story that I produced this semester.  It was filmed at Greenwood Elementary in Des Moines, and the teacher interviewed was Julie May.  This was another one of my favorite stories to do.

Puppies!

I just thought I would post that our dogs had puppies! Aren't they cute? They are less than two months old in these pictures.  The top picture is of the yorkies, Megara and Maypo are the parents (they are both our yorkies).  The bottom picture is of the miniature schnauzers.  Lola, our dog, is the mom.

Student Faces Adversity

This was a news story I produced for my field production class at Drake University.  It was filmed at the Department for the Blind Orientation Center in Des Moines.  I spent the day with Abe as he went on with his daily life at the center.  This was one of my favorite stories to produce.

Spring Break in San Antonio, Texas

Ryan and I went to San Antonio for spring break.  We went road-trip style, driving all the way there from Des Moines.  We visited his Aunt Jean and went golfing on our way through Fort Worth.  When we got to San Antonio, we went to the Alamo, Sea World, the Riverwalk and a drive through zoo (where I was even bitten by a zebra!).  We made stops at some great restaurants, including Rainforest Cafe and Hard Rock Cafe.  We spent almost a week, and had a wonderful time.  I have included a few pictures.  Enjoy!

Hunger in Iowa

This was the first full news package that I produced for my field production class at Drake University.  It was filmed at the Iowa Food Pantry Warehouse.
